Raoul Dufy moved to Paris in 1900, where he was struck by the dazzling colors of the Fauvists. He radically changed his approach to painting, developing his signature technique of stylized calligraphic drawings accented with bold colorwashes. Dufy's works retain a level of freshness that make them immensely popular today.
